Early morning trains from Southport disrupted because of trespasser on track

Due to a person on the track at Seaforth and Litherland, the 0607 Southport to Hunts Cross is currently at a stand.  Services on the Southport line are currently disrupted.

There is an emergency switch of in place between Bank Hall and Hall Road.  Awaiting emergency services attendance.

Emergency services are now on site.

Services between Southport and Formby and Sandhills are currently suspended while emergency services deal with a male on the track.

Male in custody, however still not clear of track.

Male has now been removed from the track area.  Services will return to normal but will be subject to short notice cancellations and delays while we work to restore a normal service.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Train services running through this station may be delayed.
