Easter Open Day at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary: Fun for Whole Family
School holidays are fast approaching, we’re starting to spot blossom around, and everyone has chocolate on the brain...Easter is on the way!
Whether you want something to do with the kids, a trip out with your dog, want to support a worthy cause in your area, fancy petting some animals, or treating yourself to some homemade goodies; Woodlands Animal Sanctuary Easter Open Day has you covered. With the chance to see all their animals, from the quirky birds to the cute cats, the opinionated donkey, the goats who can tell if you’re smiling or not and the ponies who might just raid your pockets, get your tickets booked for this event on Saturday 30th March.
Open from 11am, until 3pm, with the Fun Dog Show starting at 2pm. Well behaved dogs are welcome to the open day, prior to the start of the dog show. Please keep them on a lead at all times and be aware that they will not be allowed into the cattery. Entires for the dog show will be taken on the day & not in advance.
There will be plenty of activities and games to keep you and your family entertained, along with plenty of opportunities for chocolate, should you feel the urge! An Easter Egg hunt, stalls to browse and prizes to be won.
The team at Woodlands also have an exciting surprise for you, that they will be launching at the open day. If you have an animal mad child in your life, you will want to hear this announcement!
Plus, remember all the money you spend on the day, will go towards looking after the animals you have seen and met. £3 will feed one cat for 3 days, £5 will buy a bale of straw for one of the ponies beds while other amounts will be added to the pot to pay the heating bill, to ensure the cats stay warm and cosy if the temperatures drop during the night, and pay for the lights so night checks can be carried out safely and the vulnerable and poorly animals can be monitored 24hrs on the cameras. Every single penny you spend at Woodlands, will, one way or another, be spent on making an animal's life better. To give them the care and if needed medication they need to be comfortable and to have a chance of a happy ever after.
Will you be a part of the happy endings? Visit their website now, to secure your tickets for the day. Tickets will be available on the door, but please be aware they will be at a slightly higher price than you can buy them for now.
