Emergency services called after woman suffers nasty fall on Southport Promenade

The emergency services were called to Southport Promenade today at approximately 1.00 pm after a woman suffered a nasty fall as she crossed the road near the Hungry Horse pub.

Members of the public who were having a drink outside looked after the lady until the emergency services arrived.

Paramedics treated her before placing her on a bodyboard and transferring her to the ambulance.

She was then taken to the hospital for further treatment.
