Emergency services called to Southport Promenade after pedestrian suffers serious fall

The emergency services were called to the Promenade in Southport at approximately 12.50 this afternoon after a pedestrian tripped on the kerb and suffered a severe fall.

Members of the public and the Police covered the casualty with coats to keep them warm until the ambulance arrived.

Paramedics placed the casualty on a board and lifted them into the ambulance for treatment at the hospital.

Their condition is not known.
