Enock Lusiama Comes In On Loan At Southport FC

Manager Liam Watson has today moved to strengthen his squad with the loan signing of striker Enock Lusiama who is coming in on a one month loan from Accrington Stanley.

Enock goes straight in to the squad for Saturday’s trip to Boston United.

The striker, who came over to England from Spain three years ago, has been playing in non-league and working as a support worker for people with mental health issues before coming on trial with the Reds.

"I am buzzing, it’s a dream come true since I was a kid and I am grateful I can make it true," said Enock, who lives in Blackburn.

"It’s been a long way around to get here. I was born and raised in Spain, playing in academies. My mum and dad, when I was 19, decided to take me to the UK, I couldn’t speak English and I didn’t know anyone.

"I was a support worker and I played for non-league teams, while learning English at college.

"I came on trial at Accrington through my agent and when the gaffer said he was offering me a contract, I had to try and stay composed while inside I was screaming like a little kid.

"It’s been hard work and it’s been about being patient but today I can say I made it and I want to thank the people who made it possible.

"I am a young striker, I am a hard worker, I love challenges, I like to make the defenders feel uncomfortable. I like to run into space, I can play with my right foot and left foot and I like to score goals.

"I want to thank Accrington Stanley and hopefully I can give that trust back onto the pitch and show what I can do.

"I need to work hard, now I signed, I am buzzing but I want more. The challenge never stops and now it’s time for more hard work to hopefully make my debut with the first team and show my abilities."
