After the fire at the derelict property on Scarisbrick New Road last night memories of Errol Parkinson the man who used to live there were rekindled.
Errol was a rather eccentric man who fought a constant battle with the Council regarding ownership and the dilapidated state of the house. He was locked out and evicted in January 2018 following an operation by Southport police, who Errol said were corrupt, and the Council. Wire mesh fencing was erected to keep people out.
A clean-up by the Council took place in February 2018 and several Robin Reliants were removed from the garden.
Mr Parkinson moved to Manchester after being evicted to live with a friend.
