Ex-LFC players Peltier and Lambert set to honour victims of 2024 tragedy

Lee Peltier and Rickie Lambert Taking Part in Charity Match

We’re proud to announce that Lee Peltier and Rickie Lambert will be taking part in our Charity Match, scheduled for Sunday 3rd August, 3pm kick-off, held in honour of 24 families directly affected by the tragic events of 29th July 2024.

The duo become the first ex-LFC players confirmed to be playing in our Charity Match, with more set to be revealed in due course. Make sure to be following our media channels to be the first to find out who else will taking part on Sunday 3rd August.

Born in Toxteth, Lee progressed through the youth system at Liverpool FC between 1997-2004, making his professional debut in 2006. Following spells on loan at Hull City and Yeovil Town, he signed for the latter in 2008. Lee had a very successful career in English football, most recently featuring for Rotherham United between 2022-2024.

Similar to Lee, Rickie was a Liverpool local and was in the youth system at LFC between 1992-1997, before signing permanently for Blackpool FC in 1998. Rickie then went on to play for Macclesfield Town, Stockport County, Rochdale, Bristol Rovers and Southampton, where he stayed between 2009-2014, before returning to Liverpool.
