A special matchday timetable will be in operation with additional train services before and after the 14:00 kick-off. 8-car trains will be in operation as part of the special timetable, to help accommodate the higher number of customers expected to travel.

Customers are also reminded to allow more time for their journey, as services may take longer than usual, and to be kind to Merseyrail colleagues who will be working hard to keep everything running smoothly and help where needed.

Sandhills station is just a short walk from the new stadium and is the most convenient option for those travelling by train.
