Family Thanks Tarleton Community Following Tragic Loss of Father and Toddler

The family of a dad and 17-month-old baby who died in a crash in Tarleton last Sunday have shared their heartbreak in a social media post.

In a statement posted on Tarleton Facebook page, they said: "Dear Tarleton, Hesketh Bank and the wider communities, we would sincerely like to thank you for the unwavering support you have provided to our family during this horrendous time. We cannot begin to explain how much pain and sadness we feel, but the kindness and love we have been surrounded by is helping to get us through.

"Thank you to the emergency services, Tarleton GP, David Wilkinson Funeral Directors, David Burns Jewellers…just everyone, you help us more than you know. Look after each other, look after your families.

"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. Love from, The Beckett family."

David Beckett, aged 50, and a 17-month-old girl , understood to be David's daughter, died after a white Land Rover Discovery crashed with a Mini Cooper and then a tree.
