Fence smashed as Travellers set up camp on Carr Lane Playing fields

The fence that stops people driving vehicles onto Carr Lane playing fields has been smashed down. Tyre tracks in the grass show that a group of Travellers have driven across the pavement and onto the fields.

At least twenty caravans are on the playing fields at the moment.

A local resident walking his dog said " this is vandalism at its worst and the Police do nothing about it."
