Festive Joy at Churchtown's Christmas Fayre: Councillors Express Delight over Community Event
Well Done Churchtown! Say Councillors
After a joyous Christmas Fayre, Churchtown’s Lib Dem councillors would like to say a huge well done to everyone involved in bringing the village together for a wonderful event. It was brilliant to see so many local and independent businesses taking stalls and there was plenty of fantastic food and drink to go around.
The weather even played its part with a cold but dry day providing the perfect backing for the festivities. Most heartwarming of all was seeing families enjoy everything from a hook-a-duck to some fabulous rides and all ages having a fantastic, festive time.
Cllrs. Lauren Keith and Gareth Lloyd-Johnson both took their respective daughters along and you can see how much fun was had by both!
The councillors are now looking forward to the Botanic Gardens Christmas Fete on 1st December and the Crossens Christmas Fayre on December 8th.
Councillor Gareth Lloyd-Johnson said, “The Fayre was the village, and our community, showing how wonderful they are. It was purely about happiness, bringing everyone together and providing space for people to meet up, enjoy the wonderful shops the village has and start the Christmas period. It was wonderful.”
Councillor Lauren Keith added, “We’re so lucky to have this on our doorstep. To be able to bring my daughter to something as safe, fun and welcoming as this and just let her enjoy every aspect of it was wonderful. Everywhere you looked, there were families spending valuable time together. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in organising the Fayre!”
Councillor John Dodd said, “As local councillors, we have always supported the organisation of the Fayre. To see it come together like this is hugely rewarding.”
