Fire in a block of flats Kingsway, Southport. Video

The emergency services were called to a block of flats on Kingsway in Southport this afternoon. Fire crews from Merseyside and Lancashire were on scene. The fire was in a second floor flat. Ladders are up against the building.

Witnesses at the scene did not think that there were any serious injuries. The road is closed in both directions.
