Firefighters rescue person trapped under train at Moorfields Station just after midnight
Fire crews were called to an incident at Moorfields underground railway station in Liverpool City Centre in the early hours of this morning.
3 fire engines and the Search and Rescue Team were in attendance.
Crews were alerted at 00.06am and on scene at 00.14am.
Fire crews arrived to find a casualty under a train at Moorfields station. The casualty was conscious and breathing and not trapped by the train.
North West Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team stabilised the casualty’s injuries and with the assistance of fire crews used a stretcher to move the casualty between carriages to the platform. The casualty was then transported by ambulance to hospital for treatment.
