Heavy rain brings flooding to parts of Southport
This mornings heavy rain has brought flooding to parts of Southport. Much of the flooding is caused by grids in the road being blocked with fallen leaves.
Rotten Row along with Weld Road, Lord Street West and the Marine Drive were all affected.
The forecast for the next few days.
Windy today with rain followed by brighter spells and showers.
Today:
Unsettled and windy with early rain, heavy at times, followed by brighter weather and heavy showers, the heaviest and most frequent showers in the west. Windy and blustery, especially for parts of southern UK this morning and Wales this afternoon.
Tonight:
Staying windy with showers, heavy at time, especially in the south and west. Showers will also merge into longer spells of rain over some northern and western parts.
Monday:
Changeable and showery with a mixture of sunny spells and showers, heavy at times with showers merging into longer spells of rain in the north. Windy, and colder than today.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Showers around coasts, but mainly dry inland with sunny spells by day and some frost and fog patches overnight. Becoming mainly dry through Thursday, but with rain later in north.
