Heavy rain in Southport causes flooding on Rotten Row

Heavy rain has caused some flooding in Southport this morning. Rotten Row has several areas of deep water along with the Marine Drive under the Pier.

St Vincents Way by Weld Road traffic lights is also badly affected.

The forecast is for the weather to improve during the afternoon.

Turning fresher with sunshine and showers, these locally heavy and thundery. Winds slightly easing though still breezy, especially around any showers. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
