House fire in Vicarage Lane in Banks near Southport

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a house fire in Vicarage lane in Banks this morning (15th June) They arrived to find a property well alight. The roof space and a bedroom were badly damaged.All the occupants got out safely and without injury.

A fireman at the scene said the fire was probably caused by an electrical fault. Also the property is now unable to be lived in after the fire.

A statement from the fire service will be issued soon.
