Detectives from our Operation Castle burglary team have issued photographs of suspected stolen jewellery in a bid to reunite it with its owners.

The jewellery, together with approximately £35,000 in cash and a quantity of gold coins, was recovered following a search of a property in Formby in November 2023.

Numerous lines of enquiry have been carried out in a bid to trace the owners of the items. It is believed they may have been taken in a number of different burglaries across Merseyside or even further afield.

Detective Sergeant Steve Byrom from the Operation Castle team said: “We have exhausted all lines of enquiry in terms of trying to get the property identified by possible victims.

“Some of the jewellery may hold financial or simply sentimental value and we would really like to give it back to its rightful owners. We have issued photographs of some of the more identifiable items.”

Anyone who recognises any of the items is asked to call 0151 777 7829 or 0151 777 6274.
