InvestSefton Invites Local Companies for a Networking Event
InvestSefton is inviting local companies in the Financial & Professional sector to its next networking group meeting at Southport & Birkdale Sports Club on Wednesday 17th April.
Guest speakers at the free event will be Jeff Cummins from Liverpool City Region-based fund management company River Capital Management Ltd and Katie Nicholson from the Liverpool City Region Angel Network. Founded in 2018, the Angel Network brings together quality investment opportunities with active Angel Investors across City Region.
Also, Steve McArdle from Edge Hill University will be providing an update on their ‘making sense of AI technologies for the professional services’ project, as well as an overview of the fully-funded Innovation Sprint and Leadership for Growth Programmes.
The networking group is open to any financial or professional businesses, such as accountants, solicitors, estate agents and surveyors, which are based in Sefton. The day starts at 8am with 45 minutes for breakfast & networking followed by the speakers’ sessions.

Previous demand-led events have covered digital marketing, carbon reduction, branding, accessing finance and a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event for the construction sector.
In March, InvestSefton also launched a new business start-up support programme with two events to help budding entrepreneurs explore the possibility of starting their own business. Sefton-based providers Merseyside Expanding Horizons and Safe Regeneration have been commissioned to provide support to Sefton residents who are interested in starting their own business.
