Do you, or someone you know love animals but can’t have one?  Or, would you like more, but your house is already full of fur babies?  Woodlands Animal Sanctuary have the ideal solution for you!  Why not sponsor one of their animals?

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary, an independent, registered charity based in Holmeswood, between Ormskirk and Preston are currently caring for over 70 animals including 30 permanent residents.  Your sponsorship guarantees some of the funding needed to maintain their level of care and to keep up with the daily demands on their services.

Either, as a present for yourself – why on earth not hey?  Or as a gift for someone special in your life, a sponsorship package from Woodlands includes regular update letters about your animal, photographs so you can really appreciate what they have been getting up to, a certificate of sponsorship and you will also receive the rescues seasonal newsletter.  If you choose their Gold sponsorship package, you will also be invited to the sanctuary to meet your sponsored animal(s) and will receive a little memento of your trip to take home with you. 

Sponsorship packages are available for the feline family, Dolly the donkey or the goats; best mates Bert & Ernie.

Already this year they have taken in over 80 cats alone, as well as caring for the residents they have.  Dolly is by far the biggest characters at the sanctuary and the team always know a new volunteer or member of staff will be a keeper if they can deal with her!  Bert and Ernie are possibly the most well-travelled goats you’ll meet because they are a popular feature at a lot of the fundraising events Woodlands hold.  If you are local, you may well have seen them at Tesco, outside Spa shops or your children may have met them on one of the many school visits they have done.
