Kettering v Southport Preview
It will be the first ever visit for most Southport fans to Burton Latimer and the ground of Burton Swifts on Saturday to play Kettering who are resident there.
The team did play there behind closed doors in 2020/21 when a David Morgan goal saw Southport return with all three points.
Kettering exited the FA Cup at Buxton after extra time on Tuesday and currently sit in 8th place in the Vanarama National North table. At home they have the one win a 1-0 against Bradford PA in their opening home game.
We don’t need reminding that we go in search of our first points away from home this season and our first win but everyone remains in good spirits and will be looking to get those points on the board.
The lads had a good workout in a private behind closed doors friendly at Bootle on Tuesday.
We will have the usual great support at Kettering with the lads from the Yellow Army once again able to put a coach on. There are still a few spaces left so get in touch with them, details below.
We will be bringing key moment updates from the ground (Wi-Fi permitting) and a post match interview with Liam Watson will be online later on Saturday evening.
