Kettering v Southport Preview for Tuesday nights match

Hopefully it will be third time lucky as Southport take to the road on Tuesday with a long midweek trip to Kettering.

Southport’s unbeaten league run now stands at 14 and will face some stern tests in February with four away games in a row at Kettering, Chester, Telford and Boston. We then have three home games against Curzon Ashton, Leamington and Blyth before finishing the month off at Hereford.

One thing that has been evident in all our games is the never say die spirit amongst the lads and whilst the performance on Saturday in very blustery conditions wasn’t one of the better ones, the win was what mattered.

Kettering are under new management in the form of Ian Culverhouse and had a fine win at Darlington on Saturday. This was preceded by a narrow home defeat, 1-0 against Kidderminster, on the Tuesday night.

For those unable to travel we will have full Twitter coverage from the game, with the post match interviews online after the match.
