Another high spring tide in Southport today as the waves crashed onto the sea wall. From tomorrow the tides will drop off and people will once again say that the sea never comes in in Southport.

From the 1st April  RNLI Lifeguards will be on the beach.

Southport Lifeboat is independent from the RNLI and is on call 365 days a year.

Lifeguard inductions are well under way.

Our Lifeguards have been working hard; undergoing training and revalidations ready to hit the beaches on Saturday 1st April

We'll be patrolling everyday during the Easter Holidays at:
Crosby
Formby
Ainsdale
Southport
Remember.

Always go to a Lifeguarded beach
Swim between the flags
If you see someone in difficulty, go to the Lifeguards or call 999 and ask for the Coastguard
