Late Goals Seal Victory for Hereford Against Southport
Southport slumped to a disappointing 4-1 defeat on an afternoon to forget.
It was never a 4-1 home defeat game but two late goals gave the scoreline a flattering victory for our visitors.
Hereford started brightly and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 23rd minute.
The response was good from the home side and Danny Lloyd brought the scfores level after 26 minutes with a tremendous strike from the edge of the area.
It was nip and tuck after that with Jordan Keane seeing a goalbound effort brilliantly cleared off the line and almost straight away Hereford went down the other end of the pitch and won a free kick which duly went straight in across a crowd of players in the 77th minute.
With Southport pushing players forward Hereford grabbed two late goals in the 89th and 90+3 minute.
