Local Southport runner raising funds for Southport Lifeboat in London Marathon

Local Southport man, Stephen Ward, who is running in the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April 2023, is raising funds for Southport Lifeboat.

Stephen, who runs locally with Southport and Waterloo AC, said, ‘The importance of having lifeboat facilities on the Southport Coast is vital for the area. The service, which is run wholly by volunteers, is a true testament to Kath's vision.’

Working alongside some of our volunteers, he said he's in absolute admiration at how the crew jumps into action once the pagers sound.
