Lulworth Road closed for 7 days diversions in operation

Lulworth Road is closed for 7 days as United Utilities work on the sewers.

Temporary Road Closure – Lulworth Road, Birkdale - ( Near Oxford Road) Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. 1.0 Introduction 1.1 Head of Highways and Public Protection is empowered to authorise a Temporary Road Closure Order for any period up to 21 days duration. 1.2 In order to undertake a sewer repair on behalf of United Utilities and to maintain safety for operatives and road users, it will be necessary to close Lulworth Road, Birkdale. 1.3 Work will commence on 29th September 2025 and is due to be completed by 7th October 2025 1.4 The diversion route for all traffic will be via: Lulworth Road, Waterloo Road, Liverpool Road, Liverpool Avenue, Liverpool Road, Kenilworth Road, Shore Road, Coastal Road, Marine Drive, Victoria Way, Duke Street,and vice versa.
