Major disruption on Merseyrail services.Southport commuters will be affected if travelling to Wirral

A fault with the signalling system at Hamilton Square is resulting in disruption to Merseyrail Wirral Line services.

Trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes. Disruption is expected to continue until 13:00.

To and from West Kirby / New Brighton

Trains to and from West Kirby / New Brighton will only run between West Kirby / New Brighton and Birkenhead North.

A bus service is operating between Birkenhead North and Moorfields via Hamilton Square.

To and from Chester / Ellesmere Port

Trains to and from Chester / Ellesmere Port will only run between Chester / Ellesmere Port and Birkenhead Central.

A bus service is operating between Birkenhead Central and Moorfields via Hamilton Square.

A shuttle train service is running from Hamilton Square to Liverpool Lime Street and back to Hamilton Square, departing every 20 minutes.
