Major Knife Surrender Initiative Launched by Merseyside Police

Merseyside Police carry out knife crime prevention work all year round to ensure our communities are safe from serious violence and put our community first. Operation Sceptre is a chance for us to showcase what we do and spread awareness widely across Merseyside.

With prevention at our core, we will be carrying out enhanced activity including weapons sweeps, open land searches, stop searches and community outreach with young people and partners.

We are also launching a week-long Knife Surrender, giving members of the public the chance to dispose of a weapon safely.
