Man arrested in Southport Town Centre after allegedly threatening security guard

A 31 year old man was arrested in Southport town centre yesterday, Thursday 24th November, following a report that he threatened a store security guard with a knife.

The security guard used the Town Link Radio system to alert one of our town centre PCSO's, who was then able to get officers to the scene quickly. 

The man was detained a short distance away and arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place and affray.
