Man arrested on Southport beach on suspicion of outraging public decency
Police Officers from Team 1 of the Southport Local Policing Team were conducting a 'County Lines' operation on Marine Drive on Tuesday the 16th August, when RNLI lifeguards and members of the public alerted them to a man behaving inappropriately on the beach.
On being approached by Officers, the man attempted to run off but was detained. The 42 year old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency. An investigation into the incident continues.
