Man hit by car on Eastbank Street in Southport

A man was hit by a car on Eastbank Street early this afternoon (22nd November) close to the junction with Talbot Street. Members of the public helped the man who was not badly injured.

Police diverted traffic around the scene and the man was placed on a chair to wait for an Ambulance which took nearly 60 minutes to arrive.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the man stopped at the scene.
