Man jailed after Rebecca's jewellers burglary in Southport

Steven Mallon, of an address in Atherton, appeared in court on Friday 6th May to be sentenced for his part in a burglary at Rebecca's Jewellers on Lord Street in Southport, that took place on the 21st March, this year.

Mallon was  sentenced to 2 years and 8 months for his part in the burglary.

Mallon had been arrested at the scene by Southport Neighbourhood Police Officers, who were on patrol in the town centre and able to respond quickly to the 999 call. 

Investigations into this burglary continue.
