Marine Drive in Southport now closed for 6 Days as Air Show preparations begin

The Marine Drive in Southport is now closed for 6 days as preparations for the weekends Air Show begin. The closure is from the Pier to Pleasureland and vice versa. There is no access from the Ocean Plaza onto the Marine Drive. Access to and from the Ocean Plaza is from the Marine Parade.

Diversions are in operation along the Promenade. Already large traffic queues are building up over the Marine Way Bridge and along the Promenade.
