"Market Kitchen" extension plans for Southport Morrisons store
Morrisons want to extend their Southport store to include a 'Market Kitchen'.
The 'Market Kitchen' concept stated in 2020 where customers can either wait for food to be prepared by chefs, pick it up in pre-packed portions, or order food from home via Deliveroo. Products include wraps, rice bowls, pizzas and soups.
Market Kitchen orders can be placed through the Deliveroo app or website.
“The chefs in our Market Kitchen will use ingredients straight from our famous Market Street to create delicious seasonal meals for customers that are made to order,” said Hannah Munns, Morrisons head of Market Kitchen.

The extension approx. 144m² will house the new Market Kitchen which will include
varying selection of food freshly made. The roof to the new extension and existing extension will need to be lowered to incorporate new plant above the new market kitchen, a new mansard roof feature will be constructed to hide the plant from the car park.
There is overall approx. 522 existing carparking spaces 28 disabled 12 parent and toddler, the new extension will incur a loss of just one car parking space, the Pick-up point will be relocated to the main entrance area.
