Massive crane on the Marine Drive in Southport

A massive mobile crane was erected on the Marine Drive side of the Ocean Plaza this morning. The crane supplied by https://www.johnsutchcranes.co.uk/about was at least 100 ft high according to one of the workers on site. It has been hired to lift new roofing onto the seafront buillding.

The crane is operated by one man who gets to the top in a small cage that runs up the side of the main mast.

Its a very impressive bit of kit.
