Match Report. Southport 0 Needham Market 0
A fourth game in a row without scoring and a second home 0-0 in a row.
It was a game of very few chances for either of the sides, Luke Burgess went closest to breaking the deadlock for Southport firing over when well placed but in honesty it had a look of another blank scorline from early on.
It could have been a lot worse with Needham hitting the post late on and then with the last kick of the game it took a fantastic block save from Chris Renshaw to preserve the clean sheet.
We have only conceded 5 goals in the last 7 league games but at the other end only 4 have been scored and therein lies the problem.
Marcus Carver limped off in added time with what looked like a bad injury to compound a disappointing afternoon for The Sandgrounders.
Line Up: Renshaw, Minihan, Stafford, Moore, Arthur, Knight-Percival, Quansah, Hilton(Carver 65, Thomson 90+1) Morgan (Angus 65) Proctor(Lloyd 65) Burgess.
