Merseyrail and Network Rail Tackle Flooding Disruptions

Due to ongoing severe weather in the South Wirral area, on Saturday 21 October rail replacement buses will operate from the start of service between Rock Ferry - Chester and Rock Ferry - Ellesmere Port.

Customers are advised to check before travelling and to not make any unnecessary journeys.

Network Rail and Merseyrail are working hard to pump away flood water where it is affecting the network, but some disruption on Saturday is expected. As soon as it is possible services will be reinstated.
