Merseyrail slash trains on Sunday despite it being one of the busiest days of the year in Southport

Merseyrail has slashed train frequency from this Sunday as the Air Show takes place.

Services on the Southport line will revert to a 30min frequency on Sundays, from 10 September. Mon-Sat services will remain every 15 minutes. Passengers are advised to check the journey planner at before travelling - https://www.merseyrail.org/journey-planning/
