Merseyside Police arrest man at Southport Job Centre

Officers from Merseyside Police were called to the Job Centre on Eastbank Street in Southport this afternoon (7th June) at approximately 2.00.

Staff called the Police after a middle-aged man became abusive towards them. Officers arrived in three Police vehicles.

After a few minutes officers came out of the Job Centre with the man who appeared to be under the influence of something and placed him in the van to be taken away for questioning.
