New practice to improve veterinary availability in Southport (opening date 21 Dec / free pet health check)
Southport Vets has announced it will open its doors on 21 December to offer much needed veterinary appointments to clients and their pets.
The practice will help to serve a local market in Southport where a growing number of pets have been served by a relatively low number of vets.
The new Southport Vet practice will occupy a £1.1m state-of-the-art building on Southport Road, housing the latest veterinary facilities and equipment. This will include four consulting rooms, a spacious operating theatre, a specialist dental suite, an in-house laboratory and digital x-ray facilities. The practice will also have a large reception with separate cat and dog waiting areas, and separate dog and cat hospital wards, to keep stress to a minimum for patients.
Two highly skilled veterinary surgeons will initially work at the new practice in a growing vet team. They will be able to care for a wide range of companion animals - including dogs, cats, rabbits and small mammals - and will offer a wide range of veterinary services. In addition, two veterinary nurses and two patient care assistants will join the six-strong Southport Vets team, to run clinics and look after the practice’s clients.
Charlotte Dobson, Regional Director at Southport Vets, said: “Southport needs another veterinary practice which offers the best care and great facilities and equipment. Our Southport Road practice will offer the highest quality treatments and excellent standards throughout.”
New clients can now register their pet on Southport Vet’s website https://southport-vets.co.uk/ where they will be asked to enter their details and that of their pet. Clients will also be eligible for a free pet health check with a Registered Veterinary Nurse if they register their pet by 28 February 2023.
Southport Vets practice will be open Monday to Friday from 08.00am until 18.00. The practice is located on Kew Retail Park providing easy access and ample parking to clients and animal patients.
