New Year brings positive changes for Wayfarers Arcade in Southport
Wayfarers Arcade has started the new year with a change of managing agents. Commercial Property Partners has been appointed by the Landlord, Panther Securities PLC to manage the running of the iconic arcade, taking over from CBRE.
This is a positive development for Wayfarers which has been at the centre of Southport shopping for 123 years. CP Partners are committed to bringing an all-round fresh and positive approach as to how the centre is managed.
Associate Director of CP Partners, Callum Jeandin said “We are delighted to have been appointed as the new managing agents for Wayfarers Arcade. We will be working hard to ensure the arcade’s iconic status is maintained and improved over the next 12 to 18 months. This transition confirms the Landlord’s level of investment in the arcade and commitment to Southport. We are also pleased that Yvonne Burns who has been with Wayfarers for over 20 years is to remain the Centre Manager. “
Callum continued “with the new all-inclusive rent deals and improved incentives on offer, paired with the overall capital investment planned by the landlord over the coming years, we predict vastly improved footfall into the arcade over the coming years.”
Damien Moore MP for Southport said “Wayfarers is an important part of Southport’s heritage. I am confident that with the appointment of CP Partners we can look forward to new shops opening and can welcome visitors to enjoy what this wonderful attraction has to offer. I look forward to seeing what the benefits of CP Partners’ fresh approach brings to the arcade and to Southport.”
Centre Manager, Yvonne Burns commented “I am looking forward to a busy and positive year ahead bringing our iconic arcade back to being the bustling and well-loved historic shopping centre that Southport deserves.”
