One stop shop for dementia information and support

Dementia Action Week is fast approaching (May 18 to 25). Alzheimer’s Society is holding a community information and support event at the Atkinson Library in Southport on Monday 18 May from 10am to 4pm. The event is designed to help those already affected by dementia as well as anyone worried about their memory or wanting to find out more about this condition.

Alzheimer’s Society has teamed up with the local Memory Clinic, Sefton Carers’ Centre and Sefton Council to offer a variety of support and information. This will include dementia advice, help with blue badge applications and benefits, assistive technology as well as support for carers. There will also be a private space for anyone wanting a confidential chat.

This really is a one stop shop for dementia information and support. No need to book, you can come along to the Atkinson Library anytime between 10am and 4pm.
