Orange Parades take place in Southport today delays are expected in the Town Centre

Today sees the return of the Orange Parades to Southport for the first time in three years. Long delays are expected from around 11.00am when the parades start.

Delays will also occur at 5.00pm when the Orangemen march home.

The route will see the Orangemen start at Derby Road near ASDA along London Street past the Monument across Lord Street into Nevill Street then turning left onto the Promenade and into Princes Park.

The afternoon parade will be the reverse of the above.
