Woodlands – Merry Christmas from Woodlands

As another year closes on animal rescue, the team at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary would like wish everyone a healthy and peaceful end to the year, whether you celebrate Christmas or not.

2023 has not been without its challenges, and with support from many, many different places, Woodlands are very pleased to have been able to help well over 230 cats, escape unsuitable and sometimes unsafe homes and over 202 find their loving forever homes.  Birds & guinea pigs have also found solace at the hands of the team at Woodlands, receiving any treatments they needed, to rehabilitate, prior to starting their happy ever after.

The team at Woodlands extends far beyond those with wearing a black t’shirt you will find at their site in Holmeswood.  They have an army of dedicated volunteers, some help daily, with the care of the animals, some get involved with fundraising, some bake and cook for events and some ferry cats around for various appointments and they are all invaluable members of the team.  Not to mention the loyal supporters, who give whatever they can to aid the animals in care at Woodlands.  The overall effect of each and every single person who contributes to Woodlands in whatever way they do, means all the happy ever afters can indeed happen.  The Animal Sanctuary would like to thank everyone who has been a part of the story of Woodlands during 2023 and would like to extend an invitation to come along on the ride again with them in 2024.

They have quite a few exciting things to announce in the new year, so do stay tuned to hear those and in the meantime, Woodlands would like to wish you a happy and healthy festive period, spent with those you love, both two and four legged.
