Passengers at Liverpool Airport Advised to Arrive Three Hours Before Flight During Security Upgrades

Works are ongoing to improve your security experience at Liverpool airport, and over the next few weeks we are upgrading our remaining security lanes to the brand-new Next Gen equipment. The works are expected to last until mid-March 2025.
During this interim period, security processing times are likely to be longer than you're used to, so we are recommending that departing passengers arrive at the airport three hours before their flight.
A change brought about with this new security equipment is that, whilst liquid items are still restricted to a container size of up to 100ml, these items along with large electrical devices like laptops and iPads can all now remain in hand luggage as they pass through the security screening equipment.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
