Person arrested in the Scarisbrick Hotel Southport after allegation of sexual activity with a child
Officers from Merseyside Police have been at the Scarisbrick Hotel on Lord Street Southport since the early hours of this morning. Two police vehicles were parked up on Eastbank Square opposite the Hotel.
Later on two scientific support units arrived at the Hotel to conduct investigations.
Guests were still coming in and out of the Hotel .
A police spokesperson said “We can confirm officers are today, Wednesday 3rd November, at the Scarisbrick Hotel on Lord Street in Southport following an allegation of a sexual offence.
“The investigation is in the very early stages.
“A 34 year-old has today been arrested on sexual activity with a child and is currently in custody.
Enquiries remain ongoing.”
