Photo montage of Southport Pleasureland from 17 years ago

We have just discovered this old video that shows Southport Pleasureland before it was closed down in 2006.

Towards the end the pictures show The Cyclone and The Trumatizer being dismantled. The video was made by Ryan Johnson my son who was 12 at the time. The images were taken by Tim johnson and the late Phil Rodwell.

Also in the video is the "Save our Cyclone" campaigner Petr Crompton who did his best to convince the authorities that rare newts were living under the Cyclone.

Sadly, the whole park was destroyed and derelict until Norman Wallis turned it into the thriving attraction it is today.
