A plane has been flying over Southport this morning towing a banner with "Save Our Pier" on it. The plane was above the town for 15 minutes .

Southport Pier commented recently...

We are a family run business who’s staff have been left high and dry by sefton council, since June 2022 when our train was taken off and December 2022 when our whole business was locked down without a moments notice.

One week before Christmas! We now have no clear plan from sefton council, no survey results, no offer of compensation and our investment that we were forced to make as part of our lease is now left rotting away. We have tried everything to keep our staff still in some sort of work, maintain our workforce, cover the stock losses and keep our business afloat…but we are now at the point of desperation and need your help. If you love the pier and you love our business then please share with friends and donate what you can, even if it’s just the price of one regular coffee.

Every little helps. We want to be here for when the pier eventually does reopen, and it will . Many thanks and keep the faith, keep on at the council and don’t let this grade 2 listed pier and all of its heritage die. We appreciate our loyal customers, supporters and followers so much and everything you’re doing for us by keeping this plight alive . Some of the funds will help support our staff and the remainder to go towards our oncoming legal battle with sefton, as they’re leaving us with no other option. The Southport pier family. ❤️
