Police arrest early morning drug dealer in Southport

Officers from Sefton Targeted Team where out in the carrier patrolling the nightlife in Southport this morning ensuring everyone was having a good night out on the town despite the downpour of rain.

This was swiftly interrupted when a male decided to try and bring his illicit drug trade into the area. The officers would not stand for this and when his game rumbled, he tried his hardest to evade the officers. However, the tenacity of the officers cannot be broken that easy.

The diligent officers utilised there finest tracking skills and hunted him down and cornered the would be criminal. It was at the point he knew the jig was up. He was searched and found in possession of Class A Drugs destined for the streets of Southport.

He was then taken to one our finest Custody Suites and remains in custody awaiting questioning.
Officers will be out again tonight ensuring this type of behaviour will be challenged and is not welcome in Southport.
