Police called to a concern for safety in the bushes at the Marine Lake in Southport

Officers from Merseyside Police were called to Marine Drive car park today (26th May) after a member of the public was concerned for the safety of a person sleeping in a tent in the bushes at the end of the Marine Lake. The officers checked inside the tent to see if anyone was there and make sure they were OK.

The tent was empty apart from a few blankets and some rubbish. Officers had a quick look around and asked several people if they had seen the occupant before leaving.
