Police called to Carr Lane after residents clash with Travellers

Merseyside Police were called to Carr Lane in Southport this morning (30th August) after a large group of Travellers tried to gain access to the playing fields.

Residents used their vehicles to stop the Travellers from entering the field.

Police arrived and eventually the Travellers left.

A vehicle belonging to a local resident was damaged in the altercation, according to a witness nearby.
